The Estonian Coalition for Sustainable Development has launched a new campaign which aims to create greater awareness of the role we can all play to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The campaign, Coalition for Sustainable Development in Estonia attempts to break down the SDGs and make them more accessible to individuals, answering the question - What can I do?

We have put together a report from our global event Envision 4.7 taking place in Helsinki in November 2019! In the report you can find summaries of all the speeches, panel discussions, workshops and working groups that were held at the event, together with a summary of discussions around all the different topics.

Bridge 47 facilitated a panel on perspectives of Global Citizenship Education as part of the 8th Congress on University and Development in Santiago de Compostela, Spain on November 28th.

On the 11th November Bridge 47 hosted the first of its Scottish Global Citizenship Education annual events in Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city, earlier this month. The event was hosted in partnership with Glasgow City Council and the West of Scotland Development Education Centre.

200 policy makers, civil society members and researchers from all over the world got together in Helsinki to make a roadmap for the future implementation of SDG Target 4.7 in Europe.

We are pleased to inform you that a call is open for the submission of articles in a joint issue between Sinergias magazine and Revista Fomento Social de la Universidad Loyola Andalucía, within the scope of the Bridge 47 project in which the Sinergias ED project has been participating as a part of the Iberian Knowledge Exchange Partnership.

This autumn, Bridge 47’s Estonian national officers in AKÜ organised a month-long media programme entitled The Month of Human Rights to bring human rights themed films to both to national television and cinema as part of our ongoing partnership with the national broadcasting company ERR and its channels, ETV2.

We are very excited about our upcoming event, Envision 4.7 where we will be creating a roadmap for the future implementation of Target 4.7 in Europe.

From October 6 until 11, the first workshop of the second cycle of the Transformative Learning Journey with theme ‘Tackling the Root Causes of Global Crises through Education’ was held. 22 staff members of civil society organisations engaged in the field of Global Citizenship Education (GCE) as well as change-makers and activists who work with education from Europe, Asia, South America and Africa came together to reflect upon their own educational practices and underpinning theories of change and to expand them by learning from each other.

To celebrate UN Day, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) organised an event on 23rd of October at NGO Mondo's World Education Centre on how to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The representatives of UN organisations operating in Estonia, civil society and public sector as well as interested members of the public.
